Cops Identify DUI Driver With Missing Wheel Arrested In Ridgewood

Ridgewood police have released the name of a 65-year-old New York man arrested for DUI after they said he was spotted driving erratically in a heavily damaged pickup truck.

Thomas Delaney, of Valley Cottage (Rockland County) was charged with driving while intoxicated and under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance on Wednesday, Jan. 14 in Ridgewood, Police Capt. Glenn Ender said.

Ridgewood police were notified by responders in Paramus of an erratic vehicle on Linwood Avenue coming from Route 17 with heavy from end damage, Capt. Glenn Ender said.

Officers located the truck in a shopping center parking lot near 263 Franklin Avenue at 9:42 a.m., Ender said.

Delaney was processed at headquarters on his charges and released, according to Ender.
